Every Sunday Farm Gate Market turns Bathurst Street into a bustling farmers’ market.
| 8.30am – 1.00pm |
Farm Gate offers a place for Tasmanian producer to sell their fresh and value-added produce and for patrons to meet the people behind the produce. An impressive array of fresh fruit and veg is available all year round at the market, changing with each season.
Along with fresh produce is a delicious hub of ready-to-eat food. Nestled in a groovy alcove in the middle of Farmy you’ll find the Grub Hub. This is where it’s at on Sunday in Hobart for breakfast, a cheeky brunch or lazy lunch, with all the hustle, bustle and smells of a street food market.
Each Sunday you’ll find ten rotating street food vendors dishing up international cuisines with a local twist.
Basted and marinated local meats + wild seafood cooked over charcoal; freshly steamed dumplings and Chinese bao; seasonally inspired vego dishes with house made ferments; congee with pickled veg; Sri Lankan, South American, Mexican and traditional Indonesian street food.
You’ll find locally roasted coffee as baristas sling shots early in the morning alongside the classic breakfast burger bar.
All dishes are designed specifically to be delicious, devoured immediately, Tasmanian focussed, able to be eaten without a knife and fork and packaged perfectly in 100% compostable materials.
