The Burnie Farmers Market was the first community-run farmers’ market established in Tasmania and continues to offer an impressive variety of fresh, local produce.
The Burnie City Market is held the first and third Saturday of each month from 8am to 1pm in Marine Plaza.
There are plenty of local stallholders, and alongside some of the region’s best farm produce are: food and beverage stalls, handmade baked goods and other crafts and handmade products.
The Burnie City Market is still the best place to buy fresh local produce, and chat with the producer or farmer.
The Burnie City Market is owned by the Burnie City Council and managed by Angela Cannell.
